Liam's baptism

I'll have more later at Liam's blog. For now:

We had a big blowout, and yes, he did get baptized. Several said, "He did so well!" I said, "What do you mean? He remembered his lines? Stood up at the right time?"

I got two answers:
a) He only screamed like someone was pulling his toes off four times, and
b) He didn't make his own, um, contributions, to the baptismal water.

I'm going with answer b).
What goes down......must come up screaming. Three times. (The water wasn't cold, but it was chilly for a baby.) He was awakened by being dunked in cool water -- wouldn't you scream?

When Fr. pulled him out, he was fine. Then Fr. put him back in! Twice! Each time he screamed till he was out, then went peaceful. (One more complaint when Fr. drew the sign of the cross on his forehead.)

My parents got their first chance to hold him, and based on Dad's continuing soft smile, it was better than Christmas.
